"If someone else can have it, why can't it be possible for you too?"

There’s something so attractive about loving and admiring yourself in every way possible. And the more time you spend around Ava Francis, the more you begin to understand that her appeal has very little to do with perfection. Yes, she is beautiful. Yes, she understands fashion, beauty and the mechanics of a good image. But beneath the polished photographs and glossy lip combinations is something rarer online: optimism. In an internet often powered by comparison, Ava remains remarkably committed to possibility. She speaks often about inspiration rather than competition, about creativity rather than performance. For her, social media was never built on the idea of becoming a character. It began with a genuine love of beauty, photography, fashion and self-expression, and that sense of enthusiasm still feels intact. Now we are here for that sister. For LOVEWANT BEAUTY and CHANEL ROUGE COCO HYDRA GLOSS, Ava reflects on confidence, visibility and the balancing act between sharing yourself and protecting yourself. She speaks candidly about the pressures of growing up online, the expectations women place on themselves, and the importance of maintaining a life that exists beyond these tiny screens.

With all our mutual coordinates, what emerges when talking to Ava is a portrait of someone who understands that beautycan be more than simple appearances. Perhaps beauty is a form of primal energy. A way of moving through the world. A clean space. A good routine. A weekend with girlfriends. A bright yellow mood. A glossy lip before stepping out the door. Perhaps that is what makes Ava so relatable. Behind the imagery she still believes in becoming. Someone who looks at the success of others not as evidence of scarcity, but as proof that more is possible. So in a digital world that always rewards cynicism, that kind of hopefulness feels to me, radical and wonderful.

So Ava, you have a very calm but magnetic presence on camera. Do you feel most understood through conversation, imagery, or something else entirely?

Ava Francis

I think it has always been through conversation. I built the platform I have today by talking and interacting with my followers, so being understood through imagery comes second to that. You can really sense a person's presence through the way they speak, how they carry themselves, and their tone. It's always been important to me to hold a calm and inviting nature on my social channels - even more so when I integrate that into my jobs and ads.

Bartolomeo Celestino

Presence is so important. It is a daily practice really. Do you think your generation has grown up documenting itself constantly. Do you think being visible online changes how people understand themselves?

Ava Francis

Definitely! I got to grow up and experience my younger years without that immediate access to social media and cameras, so I feel like I know both sides of the coin. Part of why I've always loved social media is the ability to be creative however you please. It's your platform and your way of expressing your interests and hobbies. There's so much freedom in that. I started sharing content because of multiple interests like beauty, fashion, photography, design, and editing. Although, on the other side of that accessibility is also an inherent need to prove yourself or almost shape yourself into a character so you're even more "interesting" or "consumable" online. I do think over time Social Media has impacted the way I view myself, in one way or another. I can be incredibly hard on myself, high expectations on my appearance, overall aesthetics and relevancy.  But having loyal loving family & friends, they keep me grounded. I am so lucky to have such amazing people in my life.

Bartolomeo Celestino

What do you think people are actually searching for online when they connect with someone's image or content?

Ava Francis

For me personally, I connect with someone's image or content when it's something I desire or hope to be. Social media is a powerful and intense space, full of inspiration and motivation - which unfortunately can also have a negative impact when it comes to comparison. But at its core, it stems from sharing content that's made to inspire. Whether it's following someone's journey to becoming a brand owner, beauty editor, CEO, lawyer, or whatever it may be, it allows people to strive towards a passion they love while seeing others achieve it too. A huge mantra of mine is, "If someone else can have it, why can't it be possible for you too?" That's very much how I look at the people I follow and the content I consume.

Bartolomeo Celestino

Do you feel pressure to always appear 'put together,' or do you think imperfection is becoming more powerful now? Absolutely.

Ava Francis

It may come down to personal choice, but I do have a constant feeling of needing to be put together and polished. That really comes from hearing the saying, "You always need to be at your best because you never know who you'll run into." Maybe that's silly, but I've always liked the meaning behind it. It encourages you to be ready for anything, and you never know what opportunity might arise when you leave the house. I also think making the effort to be put together adds motivation to your day. It often gets you in the mindset to get more done. That all goes hand in hand with my job - but there are of course days where I am not put together and couldn’t care less about my appearance, live in my comfies and don’t put a lick of makeup on.

What's the difference between feeling beautiful and feeling confident to you?

Ava Francis

Honestly, I think a big part of feeling beautiful comes from being confident. You can always look beautiful, have your hair and makeup done, and wear a cute outfit, but that real feeling of beauty comes from also feeling confident in yourself. There's something so attractive about loving and admiring yourself in every way possible. That then naturally pours into feeling beautiful too. I would like to think I am a pretty confident gal, but life gets in the way sometimes and I find myself losing a bit of that confidence, which then impacts the way I can create content online. There’s never anything wrong with needing a reset or a rebrand to bring that confidence back.  I feel most confident when I am looking after myself, on top of my routine, working out, a clean space and a new outfit to wear on the weekend with my girlfriends.

Bartolomeo Celestino

Is there a version of yourself that only close friends and family really get to see?

Ava Francis

I asked my friends and family this, and they seem to think so. Not that I don't want to show more of my character online to my audience, but I've always tried to keep a nice balance between sharing my life and sharing why I started social media in the first place, which was to be creative with fashion and beauty. It also means I can keep a part of myself that's completely disconnected from being online and doesn't have an attachment to anything parasocial or any expectations. I've never loved letting my personal life become a part of my brand or image because that's not what I started it all for, and it's not why I have my following today.

"The second I put on a gorgeous fresh layer of gloss, I'm ready to conquer the world."

Bartolomeo Celestino

What kind of energy do you try to bring into a room or onto a set?

Ava Francis

I'll always bring my bubbly energy. I love having a good laugh with anyone I'm working with or around. I think it's so important to keep a balance between locking in, getting the work done, and having a bit of fun. I'm incredibly lucky to call social media my job, so it's important to me to always make the most of the amazing opportunities I receive and create a nice energy on set - so gratitude for the team/those working with me especially.

Bartolomeo Celestino

If you had to describe your current phase of life as a colour, atmosphere, or song, what would it be?

Ava Francis

I've felt a really calm and beautiful shift in my life recently that's also brought out a new sense of embracing my chaotic and ever-changing lifestyle and work. So I'd say Dream by Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) would be the song, Byron Bay would be the atmosphere, and a gorgeous bright yellow would be the colour.

Bartolomeo Celestino

Lips and expression are such a subtle form of communication. Do you think silence, facial expression, or body language can say more than words sometimes?

Ava Francis

Ooooh, that's a very good question because all of them can say so much in a single moment of expression. However, I would have to say body language can say a lot. Without even knowing it, our bodies move and change depending on how we are feeling. The security and comfort we feel in a person can immediately show through the way our bodies manoeuvre.

Bartolomeo Celestino

Does makeup or gloss ever change your mood, confidence, or the character you project outwardly?

Ava Francis

Absolutely - the second I put on a gorgeous fresh layer of gloss, I'm ready to conquer the world. There's something so funny about that. Applying gloss is such a simple thing, yet it's so effective. It makes such a difference in how I feel. Especially when you've created the perfect lip combo and topped it off with a shiny gloss - you seriously can't beat that feeling. I adore changing it up all the time too and dedicating different shades to different occasions or moods. A deeper, darker gloss is reserved for going out at night, while lighter nude shades are reserved for daytime. I mean, the shinier the gloss, the brighter the day
